The Coast of Portugal encompasses a total of 850 km brimming with vast, fine-sand beaches. The most famous Portuguese coastline in the world is the Algarve, where one can enjoy over 100 days of sun throughout the year. In the continental part of the country, one will also find the Coast of Estoril, near Lisbon, the Beira Coast and the North Coast. In the island regions, only the Archipelago of the Azores has natural beaches, as those in Madeira are man-made.
